I don’t want to get stuck making less than $200,000 a year and I see moving into real engineering and software development roles as a way to avoid putting a cap on my earning potential within a tech job. However, my only concern is that their salesforce team is only three people and where I become worried is when it comes to me graduating university and having actual software development skills rather than just experience inside the salesforce niche how difficult will it be for me to be able to retain my current salary the both of these jobs are offering as they are slightly above an entry level pay rate. This company is a large private bank and I am very excited for the opportunity to work with them. The second job offer that I got is for a company as a salesforce business analyst which I do have two years of previous experience doing at a small firm. I have no problem learning a new tech stack and it actually makes me really excited to get my hands into programming because I eventually would love to become a software engineer as I am currently studying computer science at a University. However she has expressed to me that it’s within my interest to take this role and to eventually move into a salesforce developer or solution architect role because I will have experience coding so it will make me stronger once I find my way back to the salesforce niche if that something that I would like in the future. Her offering me a position as a junior dev is really quite a surprise because I have no experience. During my interview I did expressed to them how I would like to become a solution architect eventually and I do want to develop my programming skills by finishing up my bachelors degree.

I had expressed to them that I don’t have any coding experience and they say they are completely fine with my skills at this point but that they are more interested in me learning and growing within their company than me knowing exactly what I’m doing right now.

To my surprise one of the salesforce roles that I applied to ended up having a late start date for September and the tech lead on their team likes me so much that she wants to bring me onto their team with no coding experience as a junior developer for six months. I have had a tremendous a strike of luck with my interviews and while I do believe some of it is because I have two years of admin experience at a formal role, I have had the luck of interviewing with two great companies that I love both of their teams and they are interested in hiring me.
